In the Lower School, there was much excitement this morning as the children brought in their donations and helped Mr Truswell load them into his van. In assembly, they learnt about the history of the Harvest Festival and talked about how some foods are grown on the farm before they come to the supermarket. They talked about giving to those who may not have as much as us, and some children volunteered to try some fruits and vegetables.
In the Upper School, the children thought about the population of different continents and countries around the world and how much food is available to those populations. They then thought about the unequal distribution of food and resources, not just around the world, but within our own communities too, and how we can help those who aren’t as fortunate as ourselves. Thank you very much to our families for all your donations. They have now been taken to the Ace of Clubs in Clapham.
