Year 6 have had an incredible week in the mountains of Serre Chevalier, both developing and mastering their skiing skills on the slopes. They have been working on their resilience during the week in so many different ways, including learning the basics of skiing, developing key skills such as turning and changing speed, and even showing off some small jumps! Every child has shown such admirable determination and this has made this week an absolute joy.
The children have particularly enjoyed the very kind and accommodating hotel – its wonderful staff, the crepe night and the disco are all highlights. They even got to enjoy a campfire, along to the soundtrack of the famous mango song! The staff have also enjoyed this trip with the children, especially the ability demonstrated by Year 6 to soak up everything with such positivity and enthusiasm.
Thank you to all involved, and especially to Miss Copsey for organising this fantastic trip.
